Lagos Labour Party (LP) chairman Kayode Salako has explained he resigned to contest for the seat of the Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1 in the House of Representatives.

Salako told Channels Television he handed over the party's leadership in Lagos to an ex-Deputy women leader, Mrs Dayo Ekong.
