What fashion means to me, by Nigerian top model Akin Victor

Nigerian German-based model and actor Akin Victor has described fashion as an extension of oneself beyond the clothes on the body.

In a statement by the young International fashion model, Victor added that stylish, colourful, and brazen are just a few words that describe his fashion taste.

'Fashion is a way to express self, to protest and to preserve.'

He explained that he found modelling when he was a teenager through his friend's persuasion and encouragement.

'My family moved to Germany when I was 11 years old. I found fashion in my teens when my friends encouraged me to give it a try and now I am active in the Berlin fashion circuit and going global.'

His work bustles with youth- juggling the new, and expressive with a select touch of vintage class. It reflects in his editorials, his countenance, his candour and his pose.

Born in Lagos, Akin has been featured in Balenciaga Fall Campaign 2020, Berlin Fashion Week, campaigns with Hugo, Opel advert in 2021, campaigns with Hugo Boss, Adidas, Live Fast Die Young, Nike, Vogue, Sickymag, Fucking Young, Indie Magazine, Schön Magazine, Sleek Magazine, Kaltblut Magazine, Glam and cult and Metal Magazine among others.
