Tinubu, Shettima presidential campaign unites Akwa Ibom APC

Preparations by the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Sen. Kashim Shettima presidential campaign rally slated for January 30 have united the party in Akwa Ibom State.

The contention among elders, stakeholders and aspirants of the APC arose after last year's governorship primary election in which Obong Akanimo Udofia was declared the governorship candidate.

At a stakeholders meeting convened by the state Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign rally, Obong Nsima Ekere, party leaders sank their differences to ensure a successful presidential rally.

Ekere, a former managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), urged stakeholders, elders and stalwarts to sort out their differences, to set the party on the path of peace and electoral victory.

Some of the leaders at the meeting included Sen. Ita Enang, Sen. Nelson Efiong, Prince Austin Utuk, Prof. Chris Ekong, Sir Etekamba Umoren, Ben Ukpong, an engineer; Michael Etim and Edwin Joseph.
