He's a fine parliamentarian, say Speaker, Deputy

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated Senate President Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan on his 64 birthday.

The former Lagos State governor described the Senate President as a 'committed nationalist and accomplished lawmaker'.

In a congratulatory message yesterday in Abuja by his media aide, Tunde Rahman, Asiwaju Tinubu noted that the Yobe-born politician had, over the years, demonstrated love for his country and people by committing himself to improve democracy and good governance through lawmaking.

'Your service to the nation and commitment to our great party, the APC, are unparalleled through these years of service.

'My family and I felicitate with you on this milestone and we pray that Almighty Allah will increase you in good health for greater service to this country,' Asiwaju Tinubu added.

Also, House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila and his deputy, Ahmed Idris Wase, have described Lawan as a fine parliamentarian who has paid his dues over the years in the Nigerian parliament.
