Supreme Court voids Bwacha' nomination as APC Taraba Gov candidate

The Supreme Court has voided the nomination of Senator Emmanuel Bwacha as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Taraba State.

In a judgement on Wednesday, a five-member panel of the court affirmed the decision of the Federal High Court in Jalingo that ealier voided the primary election conducted by the party and ordered the conduct of a fresh primary within 14 days.

In the lead judgment, Justice Adamu Jauro set aside, the judgement of the Court of Appeal in Yola, which in a decision on November 24, 2022, reversed the trial court's judgment and reinstated Bwacha as the APC governorship candidate.
