PDP, APC renew hostility over tribunal judgment

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State have renewed their hostility over alleged plot to bribe three judges presiding over the Osun Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, ahead of the judgment later this month.

The APC candidate, former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, is challenging the victory of the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, on the strength of over-voting in 749 polling units and certificate forgery.

At the last sitting, the Chairman of the panel, Justice Tertse Kume, adjourned for judgment.

A statement by the Caretaker Chairman of PDP, Dr. Adekunle Akindele, alleged that Oyetola and APC were planning to compromise the judgment.
