Osinbajo, governors, Emirs storm Shehu of Borno daughter's wedding

Maiduguri was a beehive of activities yesterday as prominent Nigerians stormed the Borno State capital for the wedding of the daughter of the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Garbai Elkanemi.

A presidential delegation to the wedding was led by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

Other members of the presidential team included the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno; the Director General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Abubakar; the Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Mele Kyari and Ambassador Babagana Kingibe.

The royal wedding between the son of the Emir of Lafiya, HRH Umar Sidi Bage, and the daughter of the Shehu of Borno, Aisha Shehu Abubakar, saw the Maiduguri Central Mosque venue of the ceremony fill to the rafters with dignitaries including politicians, traditional rulers and their courtiers as well as other categories of well...
