NSCDC gives families of slain officials jobs, cheques

The Commandant General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi has presented cheques of undisclosed amounts of money to families of slain officials ambushed and killed by bandits in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State.

He also offered one slot of job opportunity to each of the family of seven slain personnel, saying that the offers were given approval by the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Addressing officers and men, as well as bereaved families at the NSCDC Kaduna Command Headquarters, Audi lamented that the Corps had in the past lost officers in the line of duties, but not as much when compared to the Kaduna incident.

He described the killing as colossal, but charged other personnel not to be deterred by the ugly incident.

The NSCDC boss said they should continue to put in their best for a more secured country.
