No threat of coups in Nigeria - Irabor

The Armed Forces has assured there is no need for apprehension about the nation's democracy, saying it has come to stay.

Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor, who gave the assurance when asked if Nigerians could be assured that Nigeria would never see military rule again, also assured that the military would be on hand to assist the police, if such need arises during the forthcoming general elections.

Irabor spoke to journalists at the National Arcade, Abuja at the end of this year's Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration attended by President Muhammadu Buhari and other senior government officials.
