Makinde vows to localise industries in Lagelu

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde yesterday took his campaign tour of local governments to Lagelu Council, where he said his administration would localise industries in the area if re-elected.

He said doing so would help to boost the state's economy.

Addressing the traditional council of the local government at Lalupon, Governor Makinde lamented how industries such as Nigerian Gas Cylinder, Exide Battery, Leyland, among others, had gone moribund in the local government.

He said there was need to revive industrialisation in the local government, adding that his government would see to that under Omituntun 2.0.

Makinde thanked the traditional rulers for supporting his administration since he was sworn in as the governor.
