Lagos monarchs back Tinubu, Sanwoolu, others

Monarchs, traditional chiefs and community leaders in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State have declared the readiness of their communities to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the party's candidates during the next general elections. They made the declaration during a Town Hall meeting held at Ikorodu Town Hall during the week.

The traditional rulers said it has become compulsory for all well meaning residents of Lagos State to throw their weights behind Tinubu's presidential ambition.

Oba (Engr.) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, the Permanent First Vice Chairman, Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs and the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, while speaking at the event, moved a motion for the adoption of Tinubu as the preferred candidate of the division. He said Tinubu has done a lot for Ikorodu and Lagos State and that it's time to pay him back. His motion was supported by all the participants at the meeting. Shotobi urged the re-election of the Governor Sanwo-Olu saying he will never oppose the government of the day as he wants development for his kingdom.

The Ranodu of Imota, Oba Ajibade Agoro, also urged stakeholders and residents of Ikorodu to get their PVCs and vote for the APC Presidential candidate.
