Lagos gets 15-man panel for AfCFTA

Lagos State yesterday inaugurated a 15-man State Technical Working Group (STWG) for Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) as part of moves to domesticate the act.

The committee is headed by commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Mrs. Lola Akande, and secretary is the governor's Special Adviser on Sustianable Developmebt Goals (SDGs) Solape Hammond.

Mrs. Akande noted that the domestication of AfCFTA aligns with the objectives of THEMES.

She said domestication of AfCFTA would 're-energise the aspiration for industrialisation and position the state as an investment hub and market destination…
