JUST IN: Two feared dead, 50 trapped as complex collapses in Abuja

Atwo-storey commercial complex under construction in Gwarinpa district of the FCT on Thursday collapsed with two persons feared dead and 50 trapped.

Confirming the incident, Director Development Control, Federal Capital Territory Administration ( FCTA), Muktar Galadima said rescue operation was ongoing with combined team of several agencies, and that about seven persons have been rescued and taken to hospital.

He said while no casualty had been confirmed, several workers were still trapped on the rumbles of the ill-fated building.
