Abducted Customary Court President rescued

President of Igueben Area Customary Court in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State, Precious Aigbonoga, has been rescued from kidnappers.

A policeman was however killed during the shootout between a joint military-police rescue team and the kidnappers.

Aigbonoga, who sustained gunshot injuries, has been reunited with her family, but receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

The executive committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) (Benin Branch/Lion Bar) broke the news of Mrs. Aigbonoga's rescue in a statement yesterday by the association's Publicity Secretary, Osagie Usiobaifo.
