Popular Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has finally broken the silence over her decision to officially defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that she believes in the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Tribune Online reports that the actress, who was the deputy governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2023 gubernatorial election in Rivers State, officially joined the APC on Monday.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the actress stated that she has finally seen the light after being presented with facts and evidence about the vision of the current administration of the APC under President Bola Tinubu.

According to her, her decision to defect to the ruling party was a result of her belief in the prosperity of Nigeria, which is guaranteed under the renewed hope agenda of President Tinubu.

She maintained that her decision to switch to the APC is not just a win for her, but also for the people of the country as well as the unborn generation.
