Governorship candidates to sign social contract with Deltans

Leading governorship candidates in the Delta State governorship election will today commit to an open government manifesto, Executive Director, Policy Alert, Dr Tijah-Bolton Akpan, has said.

According to Dr Akpan, Will Stevens, US Consul General will attend the first in a series of OpenGov Town Halls to hold in the Niger Delta.

The event is organised under the auspices of the Niger-Delta Open Observatory (NOGO) cluster supported by the USAID Strengthening Civic Advocacy and Local Engagement (SCALE) project implemented by Palladium.

Dr Akpan said the project aims at strengthening the uptake and implementation of Open Government Partnership (OGP) in Niger Delta states.
