Fire guts Anambra hotel

Property worth millions were on Wednesday destroyed by fire in a hotel in Enu-Avomimi, Enugu-Ukwu, Anambra State.

The fire, which started around 4.35am was reportedly caused by power surge.

The Nation gathered that two rooms were completely taxed before the arrival of the fire fighters.

Confirming the incident, State Fire Chief Engr Martin Agbili said no life was lost during the inferno.

He however said his men were able to control the fire from spreading and engulfing the entire building.
