Elections: Don't vote along religious lines, Christian leaders tell southern Kaduna people

The Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association (SKCLA) has told the people of the zone not to vote along religious lines in the forthcoming general elections.

This was even as it asked sons and daughters of Southern Kaduna seeking for elective positions under the auspices of smaller parties to align with bigger parties to avoid splitting the votes from the area.

Speaking during the 21st Southern Kaduna Prayer Summit held at the Kafanchan Township Stadium on Saturday, the Chairman of the Association, Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, also urged the people to vote only people that know the land and how to solve the myriad of challenges confronting Southern Kaduna.

According to Apostle Kure, 'sons and daughters of Southern Kaduna who are seeking for elective offices and know that their parties cannot win elections should merge or align their aspirations with the party they feel can win elections, to avoid splitting their votes.'

He prayed that whoever wins the 2023 general elections will be bonded with the Southern Kaduna and be ready to be fair in the distribution of positions.
