Defeat of Saraki's dynasty was like thunderbolt -Tinubu

An unusual crowd on Tuesday welcomed All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate Kashim Shettima to Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

Scores of supporters, party faithfuls and loyalists as early as 8 am thronged the Ilorin International Airport as well as the Metropoletian Square venue of the APC presidential campaign rally.

Tinubu and his team eventually arrived at the veune at exactly 3pm into the waiting arms of the surging crowd.

The shout of jagaban rented the air as the APC candidate touched the venue of the campaign.

An elated Tinubu said: 'Your freedom four years ago was a thunderbolt across the country. You deserve a great congratulations, it is now for you to cement that freedom in the forthcoming general elections with your permanent voter's cards (PVCs).

'It should be thumbprints and fingerprints. It is broom revolution. You have no other freedom, the symbol of freedom for sweeping fraud away, for cleaning corruption and sweeping insecurity away is the broom.
