Council increases beneficiaries at Sanwo-Olu market

LAGOS Island East Local Council Development Area has increased the number of goods brought to Sanwo-Olu Community Market to accommodate more people.

The market, council Chairman, Dr Muibi Folawiyo, said was meant to ameliorate the living standard of the people and subsidise prices of items.

He said: 'At the last edition, we promised to increase the number of beneficiaries from 1,500 to 2,000 and today that promise is being fulfilled.

''Due to the demands of our people, we have increased the number of food items sold and as usual, fresh tomatoes and pepper would be given free to buyers. All these are done to alleviate hunger among our people.'
