Chess youngster makes waves at Ikeja Games

Youngster Emmanuel Adejorin stole the limelight yesterday in the Chess event of the on-going Ikeja Games organized by Member Representing Ikeja Federal Constituency Honourable Abiodun James Faleke in conjunction with the National Institute for sports(NIS).

The 10 year old student of GraceBrook Secondary school displayed a great knowledge of the game with many tipping him to become another future champion like the 12 year old prodigy Tanitoluwa Adewumi who rose to stardom at eight years of age.

Though eliminated in the quarter finals, Adejorin impressed organizers and NIS officials who are officiating at the Ikeja Games and has since being promised further expose nationally and internationally.

The player who was escorted to the competition by his mother said he hopes to make an impact in Chess, while not losing sight of his academics.
