Cda Raises Alarm Over Hoodlums' Threat

Oremeji Wasimi Onipanu Community Development Association of Ota in Ogun State has appealed to the Police to introduce regular patrols in the area to check night marauders.

The hoodlums they claimed are threatening the residents’ security.

Its chairman, Mr. Babalola Ebofin told The Nation yesterday that the patrols have become necessary especially as the festive period approaches.

Ebofin said a fortnight ago, armed robbers operated in the area for about two hours, raiding five houses and carting away unspecified sums of money and valuables worth millions of naira.

Such situation, he said, has not been witnessed in the area for a long time, appealing to the Divisional Police Station at Obasanjo junction to arrest the situation before it degenerates further.
