Buhari for global conference on agric in Senegal

President Muhammadu Buhari will, today, fly to Dakar, the Senegalese capital, for the second Dakar International Conference on Agriculture.

A statement yesterday in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, said: 'President Muhammadu Buhari will depart Lagos for Senegal on Tuesday (January 24), where he will attend the second edition of Dakar International Conference on Agriculture.

'The high-level Dakar 2 Summit, hosted by President Macky Sall of Senegal and chairperson of African Union (AU), is holding under the theme: Feeding Africa: Food Sovereignty and Resilience.

'The conference, which seeks to create favourable conditions towards achieving food security in Africa, is convened by the government of Senegal and African Development Bank (AfDB).

'There will also be side meetings to discuss agreements on delivery of food and agricultural products in some countries...
