Brodericks: Minister lifts ailing ex-Golden Eaglets coach

Minister of Youth and Sports Development Sunday Dare has rendered financial support to the ailing former Golden Eaglets coach, Sebastian Imasuen Brodericks, who is recovering from stroke at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), in Benin, Edo State.

Dare, who did not disclose the support that he sent yesterday through his Special Assistant on Media, Toyin Ibitoye, stated that Brodericks was a national hero, who needed all the care he could get, in order to quickly bounce back to good health.

Ibitoye told the wife of the ex-coach, Helen, that the minister youth and sports development felt compelled to help the u-17 World Cup winning coach, so as to ensure that he got the best of medical care at the Federal Government-owned UBTH.

The special assistant on media said: 'The minister asked me to come to Benin City to see Coach Brodericks personally, and deliver the message, which is between him (Dare) and the family of the coach.
