APC-PCC releases revised campaign calendar

The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC) has revised and released the campaign calendar of the party's presidential candidate ahead of the February 25 election.

The review came after a crucial and strategic meeting between the presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettimma, members of the Progressive Governors' Forum (PGF) and the Campaign Council on Monday night in Abuja.

A copy of the revised timetable, which was released yesterday and obtained by The Nation, shows that President Muhammadu Buhari is billed to attend rallies in Kwara State on January 17; Bauchi on January 23; while he will lead the Southwest zonal campaign to Ogun State on January 25.

The Sokoto State campaign earlier slated for January 16 will now hold on January 29 and the Southsouth mega rally is expected in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, on January 30.

The President will grace the party's rally in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, on February 4; while he will be the chief host on February 6 in his Kastina home state.

President Buhari is billed to storm Owerri, the Imo State capital, on February 14; while he will also be attending the grand finale rally of the campaign on February 18 in Lagos.

By the revised timetable, Asiwaju Tinubu is slated to have an interactive session with the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) on Friday, January 13, while he will engage the party's state chairmen, governorship and National Assembly candidates the next day.
