AFRIMA: Ahmed Sylla, Sophy Aiida and Pearl Thusi to host 8th edition in Senegal

As the highly anticipated eighth edition of the All-Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) tagged 'Teranga Edition' kicks off in Dakar, Senegal on Thursday, January 12, hosts for the awards ceremony has been unveiled.

While the awards ceremony is scheduled for January 15, 2023, Senegalese-French actor and comedian, Ahmed Sylla, Cameroonian actress and broadcaster, Sophy Aiida, and South Africa's Pearl Thusi have been unveiled as the hosts for the main awards ceremony scheduled to hold at the 15,000 capacity Dakar Arena, Dakar, Senegal.

Commenting on the development, AFRIMA's regional manager for Northern Africa, Janette Haddadi, noted that the trio was 'a blend of wits, charisma, and humour' to help boost the experience of the awards ceremony.
