Abuja Corps member donates computers, hub to schools

Amember of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Richardson Ojeka, has donated 20 laptops to pupils of the Government Secondary School, Alungu Lungu Village, Gwarinpa, Abuja.

The donation was made after intensive training for 30 pupils and inauguration of Students Innovation Hub in the school at the weekend. Ojeka said the gesture would be extended to the 774 local governments in the country.

Ojeka who is the founder and Chief Executive, Africado Foundation, made the presentation on behalf of the organization, which also gave scholarships to some of the students who performed excellently in their last examinations.

The inauguration of the Innovation Hub at the school was attended by representatives of the NYSC, Mrs Olayinka Omobolanle and International Labour Organisations (ILO), Segun Tekuno as well as officials of the school led by its principal.

Ojeka said he was motivated to make the donations by his passion for digital innovation and the need to support young students who have potential to become digital entrepreneurs and innovators in the next couple of years.
