Abia set to receive Tinubu's campaign train

The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said it is set to receive the party's presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his campaign train, which is making a stop in the state today (Tuesday, January 24).

The rally, tagged 'Mother of all Rallies' is scheduled to hold at the Umuahia Township Stadium, in Umuahia, the state capital.

The event would also provide an opportunity for the party to present its flag bearer, Chief Ikechi Emenike to the general public.

Chairman of Abia APC, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu told reporters at a press conference yesterday that the party was poised to stage 'mother of all rallies' to demonstrate its strength, mass appeal and readiness to take power in Abia. He said: 'We want our people to come out and be a part of the making of a new Nigeria. We want Abia to be part of the success story of APC.'

Ononogbu said that the wave of the 'Obidient' sentiment will not affect the electoral chances of the APC in Abia as the party has the numbers and overwhelming support to win the election.
