20-year old held for 'killing expectant stepmother, daughter'

A20-year old man, Gaddafi Sagir, has been arrested for allegedly killing his stepmother Rabi'atu Sagir and her little daughter.

Sagir, who was arrested at an uncompleted building while attempting to escape from Kano, said he used a screwdriver to stab his 25-year old stepmother on her neck and forehead.

He also confessed to strangling her stepmother's eight-year-old daughter to death with her head tie.

The late Mrs Sagir was pregnant, her husband told the police.
